Tepoztlan, Mexico | Retreat and Refresh

A new year and a new start are here, right at your doorstep.  As you think about resolutions and renewals consider a retreat.  Sandra Mazariegos, a long-time friend and yogi, and I have created Qualia Retreats.  We have designed a yoga and cultural getaway in Tepoztlan, Mexico. Sandra is from Mexico City and will bring her knowledge of the area, culture and of course language to this 4-day, 3-night retreat.  I have planned a yoga experience that includes vinyasa flows, some Kundalini breathwork and guided meditations to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. We have rented a gated, modern day Hacienda complete with a pool, garden and rooftop access for stargazing or morning Sun Salutations.  We’ll hike one of the many mountains and explore an Aztec temple at the summit. There will be time to shop, eat and enjoy the quaint village of Tepoztlan, which is one hour south of Mexico City. This area is known as a retreat Mecca because of the Toltec spiritual energy. For travelers this is a great opportunity to see Spanish Colonial architecture mixed with indigenous structures and influences.

Consider a retreat as a way to refresh while you step away from the grind of everyday life.   Author Dr. Wendy Guess, a dear friend of mine, wrote about New Year’s resolutions in a recent Facebook post.  Wendy ponders the following: “As we bid farewell to this last year in so many ways, may we carefully consider “resolving” the truly important areas of our lives – Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.”  You can see her full thoughts and ponderings on FB’s #newyearsresolutions.

Join us in Mexico and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.  For more information about Qualia Retreats, please email me at [email protected] or Sandra at [email protected] and we’ll send you all the important details.  The dates for the Tepoztlan retreat are February 21st thru the 24th.  Hurry and decide, there are only a few spots left.

Grace and Peace,

Zella

As we are getting older and more wise in our years, we “act like adults”. We no longer take part in activities that require us to run, skip, tumble, hop, bounce and sprint like we did when we were kids on the playground. Because we no longer participate in activities...
